Since I can't think of anything to write about, here are videos of James walking.

The going ons...
I've made a few posts here and there lately, but I haven't really talked about what we've been up to.
January, Tracy started his last full semester of school (Not ever just for his Bachelor's degree.) He'll be taking a Calculus class in the summer and then will finally get his Bachelor's degree. All his applications for Grad-school are still under review, which is good he hasn't been rejected yet. A few weeks ago he got an invite to go to University of California for a visit. Some schools will fly out a students if they are really interested in accepting them. Mostly for the adviser to meet with the student to see if they'd work well with them and to talk over possible thesis projects. Sort of like going for a job interview. Tracy spent last Thursday - Saturday in Riverside. He really enjoyed his time there and even got to take some time to look at housing and explore the area. Now he's excited for the possibility of living in Riverside, CA and hoping for an acceptance. I'm feeling a little unsure about moving away, but if that is where we're suppose to go then it will work out.
I've just been doing the same old things. Holding up the fort. Last week I ended up with a horrible flu that lasted a week. OK, 3 days but it sure felt like a week. Tracy had it several days prior. It definitely isn't easy taking care of a 2 year old and being sick at the same time. Now we just have a lingering cough.
Monday, we finally got around to doing James' birthday with me being sick and Tracy out of town, we couldn't really do much on his birthday. We just did a little family thing, nothing big or special. I made him homemade mac n' cheese for dinner and a cake then we opened his presents. This mommy is very practical and got new pants, cups and a few hot wheels for his presents. His grandparents bought him a train table and it is on it's way across the country right now. I figured with a new train table, he didn't really need a bunch of toys.
Monday, was also James' well visit. He is still healthy as ever. We do get to go back again in 6 months for her to see his progress on his gross motor skills. He's still in the 25% for his weight and height; 33 in tall and 26 lbs. I guess he has my genes to be short and skinny, though I'm sure it won't last long and he'll become tall like his dad.
Here is James with his cake. I tried my hand at cake decorating and I'm not very good. I couldn't figure out how to make black/grey frosting and I couldn't justify spending $5 to get pre-made black frosting, so he got white roads. James was also upset about the cars on the cake. We did get him to blow out the candles but he wouldn't eat any cake just played with the cars. Silly kid.

James is 2
I can't believe James is already two. He loves to tell stories in his own little language. Constantly telling us what the kitties are doing, "That kitty sleeping" or "That kitty eating" while doing the signs for cat, eat & sleep. I love that he is starting to put words together in small sentences. It has been so fun watching him learn and discover so many new things this past year.
James is progressing right along with his gross motor skills. He'll take several steps (so far up to 7) between furniture or Tracy and I. He will crawl towards the couch or bookshelf and stop short then stand up and walk the last few steps to it.
