Loose Tooth

This morning James had to have a tooth pulled. It was so loose the dentist said it was going to come out any way. Instead of taking the risk that James might aspirate it and it end up in his lung, he went ahead and pulled the tooth. I already had to hold him down for the examine. I didn't want to have to do it during the actual tooth extraction. So I went out into the waiting room and Tracy stayed with James. Being held down was more traumatizing to James then the actual numbing and pulling of the tooth. He came out just as happy as can be with new toys a car and a motorcycle.

Since the root had been damaged, the dentist said either he grinds his teeth at night or he had hit it on something. We haven't noticed him hurting his mouth on anything so he could have done it in his sleep. The other bottom tooth looks like it could come loose as well, so we have to keep an eye on that one. Good thing they are just baby teeth.

All smiles after the dentist.
Just a little tired since we had to get up early for the appointment.

The weekend Grandpa and Grandma came to visit.

Tracy's parents came up last weekend for a visit. Friday evening they arrived and we immediately headed out to Walmart to upgrade our phones. Walmart had the phones we wanted to upgrade to for $31 each as apposed to getting them from the Verizon store for $99 each. The Walmart near by only had one instock, so we had them look up the next nearest store and the computer said they had 3. We drove across town and turned out they only had one. So we upgraded my phone and went back to the other Walmart to upgrade Tracy's phone. After spending way too much time trying to get new phones, we took some Noodles and Company to go and ate at our apartment. It is nice to all be on one cell phone account makes it cheaper for all, but a pain when we need/want new phones since Tracy's parents have to handle it.

Saturday, we took them to the zoo to see the new addition. Spent all morning enjoying the animals and had a nice lunch in the new Beastro. James absolutely loves the zoo and knows exactly where to go to see what he wants.

James' recent obsession is tunnels so of course this log was a big hit.
After the zoo James had his name and Tracy's parents went off to explore the town on their own. After nap time we had a nice dinner at Olive Garden and went back to their hotel for a swim.

Sunday they attended church with us and then headed home. James really enjoyed having his grandma and grandpa around and we enjoyed the visit.

A father is there to guide you through life.

A father never stops telling stories.

A father teaches you what he knows.

A father is there to hold and comfort you when your afraid of the world around you.

A father will put aside work for a little cuddle time.

A father isn't afraid to get his feet wet.

Happy Father's Day to a Great Father and Husband.
We Love You!

May

May was quite an unusual month. It brought a lot of James and me time. Tracy was gone pretty much the whole month doing field work at various places, Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase-Escalante, San Rafael.  In there we did take a family trip to CA. See previous post about our adventure there. With Tracy gone I tried to make the most of things. James and I took a trip to the zoo, Church History Museum (they have a fun children's area) and the park several times. Since we only own one camera, Tracy took it with him so I don't have any pictures of us playing.

One Saturday in between Tracy's trips we went to Grandpa and Grandma Thomson's house for a few hours. There we parted ways. I went to a bbq with my family and Tracy headed off to Capitol Reef. James and I had fun at the bbq. He enjoyed playing with his cousins, his aunts and uncles. He absolutely loves his aunt Kandace.

I think that was about all we did. Tracy had a great time during all his trips. He has discovered several new swim track sites. Now it is back to the every day grind for him and taking Calculus II.

Just 3 more month till we move. It is going by way fast and yet way slow. I wish it was closer so we can start settling on a place to live and just start the whole moving process. This limbo period isn't very fun.

Well, I hope you all had a fun month of May and a Happy Father's Day, tomorrow.

A little daddy/son time during one of the few evenings Tracy was home.

Date Night

A couple of weeks ago, I took the cutest boy out on a date. We had such a great time having dinner at Noodles and Company. I think I might take him out again.

What do you think? Isn't he cute?
Airplane had to be in the picture too.
