25 Random Things About Me

I got tagged to do this list on facebook, but I decided to put it on here to since it was a lot of work to write it. ;-) I'm not going to tag anyone, but if you want to do it that's great. I'd love to read what you have to say.

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. Alot of people think I'm 18. They're are shocked when they find out I'm married and then even more shocked when I tell I've been married for 2 years.

2. Growing up whenever I was giving a piece of paper to draw on I would almost always draw a house and tell people that when I grew up I was going to draw houses for a living. I lost my way a bit in high school when I decided to persue a caree in music, but after a year of college I got smart and went back to my dream. I now have a degree in drafting and someday will have one in engineering.

3. I married a wonderful guy who is just like a big kid. He loves dinosaurs more then most young boys.

4. I love hot chocolate so much I drink it almost everyday even in the summer.

5. I bring back luck to my employers. I've had 3 different jobs since I was 16 and all 3 places were robed during the time I was employed there. Luckily for me I was never there during any of the robberies. One of them happened 30 min. after I left work.

6. I always thought it would be fun to design my own house. I also thought it would cool to have some kind of fossile or valuable stone on display in my livingroom. Well, it looks like I will get my wish. See #2 and 3

7. I love to sew. I made my own wedding dress. I'm also very much a procrastinator and finished my dress the day before my wedding.

8. I once bought a TV at 2:00 in the morning from Wal-Mart. The lady that rung me up for it kept giving me the weirdest look and stared at my ID and credit card for a really long time. I'm pretty sure she thought I was buying it with a stolen credit card.

9. I have a very mild case of dyslexia. I now understand why I had such a hard time learning to read as a kid and why I did so bad on every reading assesment my entire life. I always thought I had it, but my sweet husband confirmed it for me.

10. I have a map of middle earth; framed, matted and hanging on my living room wall.

11. I have an obsession with trains and I am going to have a train room in my house.

12. I worked at Papa John's for 3 years and still love their pizza.

13. I love to read novels, but whenever I'm in a bookstore you can always find me in the cookbook section. I love to look at all the good food I could someday learn to cook.

14. I have a symetrical family. Take my siblings and I and split us in half, each half has 4 girls and a boy in the middle of the girls. Even though I am the oldest of the younger 5, I am still considered on of the older kids.

15. I have allergies in the winter time. They mostly affect my eyes and as I'm writing this I am having an allergy attact. It would be easier if my eyes didn't itch and hurt so bad.

16. I once had a gun pointed at me and no it isn't from any of the events in #5, but it was while I was at work see #12. One of my coworkers was showing off his gun and I asked him if it was loaded and he said, "No, see." Ya, he pointed it at me and pulled the trigger. He was fired a few days later.

17. I have more friends that are guys then girls. Mostly because of school and sitting in classes with 15 guys and no other girls.

18. I have met many interesting people on my travels on the UTA bus/tracks system and some of the people have been drunk.

19. My first bicycle I ever owned, snapped in half when my brother tried to do the "pop the wheely" thing or whatever it's called.

20. I work at a place where I often see people in bathrobes.

21. I love to decorate for holidays and my goal is to have decorations for everyone.

22. I have been in a car accident on the deadliest highway in Utah and walk away from it without a scratch, but it did look like I peed my pants cause I was holding a small fish tank on my lap full of water.

23. I once went on a last minute road trip to Yellowstone and almost got stuck there for a few days longer then planned. Got to love it when the alternator belt breaks in the middle of no where.

24. I have a hard time just cleaning one room at a time. When I go to put something away in a another room, I see something in that room that needs to go somewhere else and so on and so forth. At least my whole house gets cleaned at once. ;)

25. My husband and I always joke that we'll have more pets then kids. So far children-0, pets-3.

School Time Again

Joe started another semester this week. So far he's pretty excited about the classes he'll be taking. I'm going to try and list the classes he's taking, but he's not here right now to ask whether I got it right or not. I'll just have to post again with corrections if I'm wrong. :) He's taking: Geophysics, Structural Geology and Tectonics, Paleobiology and The World of Dinosaurs. He is fortunate enough to only have classes Monday-Thursday, but he does have a lab with the first 3 that I listed, so Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday he'll be at school all day. He also is pretty excited about the 3 or 4 (I can't remember) over nighter field trips that are required for a coupld of the said classes. As for me I'm just happy to see him coming closer to accomplishing his goals. It's looking like he'll be done with his bachelor's next spring if all goes well. Which is about when we'd thought he might be done, so that is good.

Now that we've made it pretty much through the first week, lets see if we can make it through the semester.

It's a New Year!

For New Year's Eve Joe and I went to my Sister Crystal's house. We had a blast playing games. My favorite was playing Rock Band. Joe and I want to buy it now. We actually were the last ones to leave because we were having so much fun. It was a nice way to start out the new year with a bang, really just a bang on a video game drum set but still it was good to be with family.

Yesturday, we had a Sugar Bowl Party. We had it at my in-laws and watched it on their projector screen. It was an awesome game and I'm glad that the Utes won. It's nice to show the nation that we really do have a good football team.

Well, now I'm all partied out for a bit any way. Time to start getting Joe ready for another semester of school.
