March

Guess it is about time I write a blog post about March, since April is almost over. Though I can't help but think, "what did we do?"

Well, we did go one a little road trip for Tracy's spring break. We kidnapped my little sister, Kandace and headed off to Laramie, WY and Dinosaur National Monument. Such exotic places to go for spring break, right? Tracy needed to look at some specimens at the University of Wyoming Field House Museum and wanted to help collect some from the Dinosaur National Monument. James, Kandace and I just came along for the ride.
Some Pictures from our trip.
Watching cars on the highway from the hotel window.

Pool fun

Having lunch and a short pit stop at Steamboat Springs, CO.

At the end of March however we took James to the Spring Festival put on by DDI Vantage (early intervention) where they did an Easter Egg hunt. Took James a little bit to get the hang but after that he was a pro. We also spent an evening at the City Creek Shopping Center. We are definitely in love with having another mall close by with different options than the Gateway. Though we are moving in just 5 months so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Our City Creek Photos:
Such a great place to just walk around.

Having our food court dinner.
All James wanted to do is walk around and look at the water.

We took a quick walk across the street to Temple Square.
Here is our lame attempt at a self family portrait.

James and I are the ones in the bottom left corner.
I don't think we did much else besides the normal everyday stuff.

Coming Fall 2012

The Thomson's will be living...

where there are mountains...

where the university looks like this...

where there are mountains and palm trees...

(Have you figured it out yet?)

where it feels like summer all year...

Look out Riverside, California here we come.

That's right we're moving to California this coming September. Tracy will be attending University of California. He'll be taking classes and working on his thesis (of course). As well as doing teaching assistance.  I will work a part time job. James will have to go to a daycare but at his age it will be just like going to preschool. (His pediatrician recommended putting him in preschool any way.) We're hoping to find a good house to rent, since rental rates are for a house can be cheaper then apartment. When I'm not working James and I will play outside all day in our yard. Oh, I love the sound of that, our yard. We don't really have a yard now. And when we're all free, we will take trips to the beach and Disneyland. :)

P.S. I'm feeling much, much better about moving then I did a few days ago. Still a little nervous and I'm sure all kinds of other emotions will come up, but I know it is the right thing for us.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Shauna, thanks for letting me steal your question mark,
even though you are now just finding out about it.
It is now March! What happened to February? This past week we, well really Tracy, has been accepted into a graduate program and has a huge possibility of another one. We are both very excited about making this next step in our lives. Now we just have lots and lots of decisions to make. We're about 90% maybe even more like 98% sure about which offer to take. (Sorry, not ready to let everyone know where that will be.) Though if we only end up with one, obvious our decision will be made for us. I've already changed my mind several times about what we should do. Pretty much is comes down to, I'm scared of change and the unknown. Though secretly between you and me, I have known Tracy was going to get accepted to this particular school for about 2 weeks now. Reality of it actually happen is making me a nervous wreck.

Today in church I just about lost it several times. The thought of no longer being apart of this ward of wonderful people in just a few short months was a little too real. They have become my family, my ward family. I'm sure if we choose to move I'm going to be an emotional wreck each Sunday. We've been in this ward longer then any other ward since we've been married. Maybe Heavenly Father knew I needed to know before hand because I was going to have such a hard time with it. I especially needed the little reminder today that no matter what the LDS church is the same where ever you go. No mater where we live close to family or away from family, we will always have a ward family.

Thanks for reading my random ramblings of my thoughts going through my head right now. When our decision is made and we've worked out all the logistics I'll be sure to write about our destination.
