Just what I needed....

I came across this video on a family members blog. I've been having a hard week and this was just what I needed. I thought I'd share it too for any other mother out there needing encouragement.

Thank you Beth for sharing.

My dream

I had a weird dream last night. First of all I hate it when I have dreams about work. Though it didn't take place at work, it still was about it.

It started off that I had slept in till noon instead of getting up at 5 for work. As I came out of the bedroom, Joe was watching TV and asked me why I wasn't at work. I told him that I decided last night I wanted to work the 2-10 shift instead of the 6-2 shift and I apparently had called one of my co-workers in the middle of the night and switched shifts. (Of course that normally wouldn't work cause who would be willing to pick up a 6-2 shift last min?)

Then Joe got mad cause we were suppose to leave after I got off work at 2 to go to his parents for the 4th of July and I ruined our plans. I told him I didn't care and I really needed the extra hours of sleep and we could still go to his parents after I got off.

After our argument, I got ready for work and left and that was the end.

Time sure flies

I can't believe June is already half over. It seems like just yesterday it was the beginning of May. So far the past month has been pretty uneventful.

Joe spent the last 2 weeks of May doing field camp. Learning more geology stuff and how to make geological maps. He went on 2 one week trips with a 2 day break in between. They first went to south to Parawon and then to the upper left corner of the state the second week. He had a lot of fun hiking and camping and took a ton of pictures. Most of which are of just rocks and folds; a few of him made it into the mix.Unfortunately he has them on his computer and I can't get to them at this moment.

While Joe was gone James and I had an uneventful 2 weeks. I just worked a lot and that was about it. We did manage to get a flat tire and my sister came to the rescue and 3 hours later our car was sporting a new tire. I'm sure I was quite the spectacle sitting on the side of the street on 5 south and main with James, while my sister went to get the tire. I know what you're thinking, "Why didn't I have a spare?" Well, I do have a spare, but it was already being used from a flat Joe had gotten in April and we hadn't had the tire patched yet. Afterwards, I was saying husband's shouldn't be allowed to go out of town.

June so far has been pretty uneventful. Joe has been busy working on his reports from field camp and I have been working. James is starting to play with toys. I just bought him some linking rings and he absolutely loves them. He is also trying to roll over and gets himself on his side and can't figure out how to go the rest of the way. I'm sure in a few more weeks he'll be rolling over like a pro. It is so fun to see him growing and figuring out new things, but so sad it seems he is growing up way to fast.

Here are a few pics of James:

Such a cute face

Hanging out with Mommy
(Sorry, for the unattractiveness of mommy.
It was early in the morning and Joe decided he needed a picture of us together.)

He sure love to suck on his hands

Do I make a great photographer or what?
