Epic Fail

I tried to make a hat for James. Tried is the key word here. After looking up several different patterns and not one of them were James' size. I finally came across some instructions on how to make your own pattern. I also thought it would be fun to make it reversible. One side with the letter J and the other side with a star. Well, I was so paranoid about making it too bid. It ended up too small and didn't quite turn out right. Some pieces didn't line up very well and the J and star were almost too big.  Next time, I'll just buy a tried and true pattern.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day
To A Great Husband And Father

who takes us on many adventures,
cooks dinner often,
loves to play with James and teach him new things,
willing to act crazy with me,
and so much more.

James is one lucky boy!

Picnics in the Park

For the past 3 Saturdays, we've been having dinner at Liberty Park. We pack up the car with yummy things to eat, like Bratwursts, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, a different item each week. Have a little BBQ and picnic, then take a walk around and explore different parts. Still searching for the Nano Geocache that is suppose to be hidden in the park. Maybe next week, maybe...

It's been a fun family time and fun to see James discover ducks, geese, swings, slides and of course water play. He absolutely loves the rock stream area.

There's a Nano Geocache hidden somewhere behind James,
but we haven't been able to find it.
